Guido Guth<\/a>\u2019s late friend Steven Karger, of Basel Switzerland. Steven died far too young, at the age of 49. He was Managing Director of S. Karger AG, an international publishing house in the field of medicine and a very active member of the Jewish community in Basel.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”1516″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]\u201cI have many good memories of our involvement with the Jewish Community in Basel, especially the Jewish Student Organization and the many projects for young leadership,\u201d remembers Guido. Even after Guido made Aliyah to Israel with his family, the bond with Steven remained so strong that Steven supported Guido in establishing his own company in Kfar Saba.<\/p>\nThis project of an outdoor fitness gym and trail in Israel \u2013 free of charge and accessible to everyone \u2013 is a symbolic continuation of their path together from Switzerland to Kfar Saba. It would have appealed to Steven. The idea of enjoying sport activities close to home, with family or friends, after work or on the weekend, is perfectly in line with Steven\u2019s values and life as a family man and member of the community. Steven\u2019s family always shared his values and supported the creation of the ShapePark by providing substantial help and bringing on board many of their friends from Switzerland.<\/p>\n
